GMS Medizinische Informatik, Biometrie und Epidemiologie / Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (MIBE) publishes scientific papers about methods, concepts, tools and solutions in the fields of Medical Informatics, Biometry, Epidemiology, Medical Documentation and Life Science Informatics, and about their innovative application in medicine.
The journal publishes orginal papers, review papers, comments and case- and project reports. Every submission is subject to a systematic peer review. Publication language is English or German with an English abstract.
MIBE is an official journal of German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology GMDS (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinische Informatik, Biometrie und Epidemiologie) and the “Life Science Informatics” („Informatik in den Lebenswissenschaften“ (ILW)) section of German Society for Informatics GI (Gesellschaft für Informatik). Once starting with the journal “Informatik, Biometrie und Epidemiologie in Medizin und Biologie“ in 1969, the GMDS continues with MIBE the tradition of releasing a scientific journal.
