Peer review process
After submitting a manuscript to GMS Medizin – Bibliothek – Information, a peer review process is started.
All research papers (Fachbeiträge) get allocated to two reviewers, selected by the editor-in-chief. One of the reviewers is a member of the editorial board and the other one is an external peer. After the review and a possible revision by the author, the editor-in-chief decides to accept or reject the paper.
All other article types (interview, conference report, product report, etc.) are reviewed in a simplified procedure in terms of content and form by the editor-in-chief and a member of the editorial board. After a possible revision by the author, the editor-in-chief decides to accept or reject the contribution.
